Nana Firman, originally from Indonesia, worked for the World Wildlife Fund there for 5 years (2005-2009), in which she developed and implemented the Green Reconstruction in the areas affected by the tsunami, then followed by initiating a sustainable cities project. She became a Climate Leader trained by Hon. Al Gore in 2009. Nana is also a Fellow of LEAD (Leadership in Environment and Development) focusing in Green Economy. After residing in California in 2012, she has been very active in developing urban community garden and educating the American Muslim community to practice greener lives. Nana was featured in Azizah Magazine (Summer 2013) as one of Muslim women active in green revolution. She then became a GreenFaith Fellow and a Fellow of AMCLI (American Muslim Civic Leadership Institute). Nana is currently coordinating Muslim outreach for OurVoices, a global faith and spiritual climate action network and also an Adviser for The Hijrah Society, a self-sustaining community.  She received Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from University of Bridgeport, Connecticut and Master of Science in Urban Design from Pratt Institute, New York.
